Bergen County Board of Taxation – locates, inventories, and sets values for all taxable property within Bergen County, with the exception of certain State-assessed properties and other specified properties which are designated as exempt from taxation, by law.

Bergen County Clerk - will facilitate application and license for marriage and to perform marriage ceremonies, to file notary public oaths of office, process U.S. passport applications, fictitious business names and other items as mandated by law or ordinance.

Bergen County Recorder - will record as mandated by law all recordable documents in connection with ownership and titling of properties and other negotiated items within the County of Bergen. San Bernardino County Public Works - is responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of the county roads, bridges and drainage systems. The County of Bergen is comprised of approximately 240 square miles. There are over 450 miles of county roads, 173 county bridges, 358 signalized intersections and over one million square feet of buildings occupied by the county. This department also maintains records of plans and specifications of intersections, county buildings, bridges and roadways, traffic ordinances, as well as, other pertinent data including review of major building developments affecting the county infrastructure.

Bergen County Department of Public Safety - encompasses the County Police Department and the Divisions of Consumer Protection, Medical Examiner, Emergency Management, Bergen County Law & Public Safety Institute, Weights and Measures and the Office of Highway Safety.

Bergen County Improvement Authority - The mission of the Bergen County Improvement Authority is to serve the needs of Bergen County by participating in community and county projects by providing creative solutions and access to favorable financing. State of New Jersey Department of Health - The Food and Drug Safety Program regulates food, drug, and cosmetic safety and provides information to consumers and the regulated industry. New Jersey Roadway Information and Traffic Counts - is responsible for the collection and dissemination of TRAFFIC COUNTS in various formats (the link is for the most current online searchable format), and only on the State Highway System.

New Jersey Real Estate Commission - The REC issues licenses to real estate brokers and salespersons, real estate schools, and course instructors, as well as establishes standards of practice for the real estate brokerage profession.
