Westchester County Department of Public Works - is charged with designing and constructing an extensive infrastructure system for Westchester County. The department also provides oversight on many capital projects big and small and has a traffic engineering and safety program that works to prevent traffic accidents. Westchester County Department of Planning - The Planning Department, as an affiliate of the New York State Data Center, is responsible for assisting with the collection and dissemination of demographic, social and economic data. The Department is a major repository for census and statistical data, and works closely with the U.S. Census Bureau and other government statistical agencies.
Westchester County Department of Environmental Facilities - As its name suggests, the Westchester County Department of Environmental Facilities oversees the operations of various facilities that deal with the environment. These include the: County's Material Recovery Facility (the recycling center); Charles Point Resources Recovery Facility; Garbage transfer stations; County sewer treatment plants; and Four county water districts.
Westchester County Tax Commission - This office, as the county provider of Real Property Tax Services, is primarily responsible for providing property tax related advisory and technical services to local assessment and other municipal officials, access to city and town assessment rolls, examination of the assessment rolls of towns and cities for county tax purposes and training for local board of assessment review members.
