COUNTY WEB SITES *

County Website - The Official Website of Prince George County, Maryland.

Doing Business in Prince George's County - Expanding firms are making the choice to reside in Prince George's County. The Department of Public Works and Transportation - Provides roadway infrastructure, litter control, mass transportation and storm water management to all users in the county.

Adopt a Road - Want to help keep the environment in your community clean and neat? The Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T) Adopt-A-Road/Median Program can be your ticket to participation in a cleaner, neater community, either where you live or where you work.

The Business License Division - Issues licenses and accepts renewals of Licenses for certain specified Maryland businesses located within Prince George's County. To find out whether you are required to obtain a business license from the Clerk's Office go to the State of Maryland Business License Information System (BLIS).

Liquor Control Board - The Board serves a quasi-judicial function in administering and enforcing the Alcoholic Beverage Laws of the State of Maryland and the local rules and regulations of the Board of License Commissioners.

The Permits and Review Group (PRG) - Provides technical support to review and approve plans for construction, including structural, mechanical, electrical, fire, and life safety-related issues throughout a construction project. The law requires that an owner or authorized agent shall obtain a permit to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, move, improve, connect, demolish, use and/or occupy, or raze any building. PRG assists in determining the type of permit needed and works with the development community for the completion of a successful project venture.

Electric Power - Maryland Attorney General - Maryland residents are now able to choose who supplies their electricity. (Customers of municipal electric systems and some rural cooperative systems are the exceptions - see "Areas not participating.") Your local utility, now called your electric company, will still deliver the electricity to your home, but you can choose another company to generate the electricity, if other companies are making an offer in your area.

Washington Gas - For 160 years Washington Gas has been distributing natural gas to customers in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. Maryland Traffic Volume Maps - Depict the Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) at various locations on Maryland’s roadways by county. Traffic Volume data is collected from over 3000 program count stations and 79 ATR’s, located throughout Maryland. Maryland Community Health Administration – Office of Food Protection - The Office of Food Protection and Consumer Health Services is composed of three divisions: Food Control, Milk Control, and Community Services; and four administrative program areas: Licenses and Permits, Rating Officers, Legal Counsel, Support Services.
