Los Angeles County Economic Develop ment - The mission of the LAEDC is to attract, retain and grow businesses and jobs for the regions of LA County. Just as the region’s economy has grown, so have the breadth and impact of the LAEDC’s programs and services. Today the LAEDC’s Business Assistance Program has helped create or retain nearly 152,000 jobs, with a direct economic impact of $7.5 billion and $127 million in annual tax revenue benefit to Los Angeles County.
