Privacy Policy

For each visitor to our Web site, our web server automatically recognizes only the consumer's domain name, but not the visitor's e-mail address (where possible).

What e-mail addresses that we do keep, is by those who register and post messages to our Forums (bulletin board), those who communicate with us via e-mail and those email addresses of our contributors, advertisers and employees.

To date, LocationIsland.com does not have a newsletter and does not send electronic mailings to our readers.

What aggregate information we keep is to review and improve the web pages that our readers access, or visit, most (or least) often. The information we collect is used for internal review and site improvement, then discarded.

Unless legally required to do so (at the request of governmental authorities conducting an investigation), we will not sell, release, divulge, lend, lease or otherwise transfer or transmit the information that we acquire about our visitors without their prior permission.

With respect to cookies: We use cookies to store visitors preferences, record session information (such as items that consumers add to their shopping carts on affiliate sites), record user-specific information on what pages users access or visit and to record past activity at a site in order to provide better service when visitors return to our site.

If you supply us with your contact information, you will only receive the information for which it was intended.

With respect to Ad Servers: We currently do not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies. 

If you are concerned about how your information is used,
you should check back at our Web site periodically.

Upon request and proof of identity, we will provide visitors with access to any and all information [including proprietary information] that we maintain about them; including the ability to have this information modified, changed or deleted from our database.

With respect to security: We feel we have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you at our site.

Please bear in mind that we do offer links to various goods and services online and those web sites should have their own privacy policies.
